 CNC’s Laser Class Team was formed in 2001, when the National Championship of Radial Laser in Ponta Delgada (Azores) took place. It was formed by Frederico Melo, Manuel Anjos, Tomás Pinto and Vasco Vozone. By then the sailors did not have any kind of coaching, but Gonçalo Carvalho stepped forward and gave them support.
