INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF YACHT CLUBS

The International Council of Yacht Clubs (ICOYC) is an association of the world’s leading yacht clubs.

With events and opportunities for club members, leadership and professional staff, the Council exists to promote collaboration among these clubs so each can be empowered to improve their home organization while positively contributing to yachting worldwide.

The Council is made up of 44 member clubs, representing 22 nations, each of which has similar characteristics, nautical activity, size, range of Member services and commitment to water sports.

Several times a year, representatives from member clubs meet to discuss issues related to club activities, exchange ideas, share good practices and experiences. Every two years the Council holds a World Forum, and every year Regional Conferences are held, providing all members with various opportunities for collaboration.

ICOYC members enjoy invitations to events and regattas at member clubs around the world. Additionally, the Council organizes an annual cruise, during which members explore the waterways of a foreign cruising area, almost always with a local guide.

The Clube Naval de Cascais has been part of the ICOYC since 2018, and the President of the Clube Naval de Cascais, Gonçalo Esteves, is the current ICOYC Vice President for Europe.
